June 24 - Word Count 20,166
I ended up skipping another day again yesterday (Saturday, the 23rd). That got me quite a bit behind, and in order to catch up, I needed to write 3,000 words today to give me a 21,000 total word count. I didn’t quite reach that, but I did make up for some lost time. I managed to make it to 20,166 words tonight, which meant that I wrote over 2,000 words today. I’m pretty happy with that. Now, I just need to keep up the pace tomorrow, and I’ll be back on track.
I discovered today that I absolutely cannot write on a laptop while riding in a car unless I want to feel like I’m going to vomit. I’ve always had a bit of a problem with car sickness, dating back to when I was only seven years old, and I don’t know why I thought I would magically get over it today. So, note to self: Don’t try to write in moving vehicles. Except, I would be fine on a train or plane. Also, I’ve never had any motion sickness due to roller coasters, but it might be kinda hard to write while riding on one of those.
