Now, I’m all about supporting the Writers Strike, but it’s hitting me where it hurts now. The production of Johnny Depp’s new movie, “Shantaram” was shut down today due to the strike. As an avid Johnny Depp fan, I have been looking forward to this movie, and I hate that it has been shut down, even if temporarily. Seriously, this strike needs to be resolved. Give the writers their share!

The Broadway strike is also still an ongoing issue. I’ve been doing some research about these two strikes, and apparently, the stagehands have been working without a contract since July. I don’t understand how these things happen. They need a contract, and they shouldn’t be expected to work until they have one.
