This Week in Comics for December 13
This week I read one new comic from Wednesday’s release and an older comic that I picked up a few weeks ago. I thoroughly enjoyed both of them, and I recommend adding these to your list of comics to read.
I’m a big Battlestar Galactica fan, and I’ve read another comic book series on the story. So, when Origins: Baltar began this week, I just had to pick up a copy. The writer of this series is Kevin Fahey, a writer for the television series. I always enjoy when the actual writers of the television series get involved with the comic book version because the characters and dialogue stay much more true to the original. This storyline in Origins revolves around Gaius Baltar and his life leading up to the second Cylon War. We get to see his backstory and how he actually got to where he was when we met him on the show. I was impressed by this first comic book in the series, and I’ll definitely be picking it up again next issue.

Fell is a comic book that has been out for awhile, but I finally picked it up after it was recommended to me by someone who has pretty good taste in comics. Detective Fell has just relocated to Snowtown, a gritty, bizarre and dangerous place. The residents are slightly crazed and crime is abundant.
I love detective stories, and he does a bit of detecting in this issue. It has an interesting twist to it, however, that makes it different than any other detective stories that I’ve read so far. I also have the feeling that this was not a stand-alone case, and that certain events and characters from this issue will come to be important later on in the story. I guess I’ll just have to see.

oh and the ultimates3 #1 should have an
adult rating.. [definitely not something i would want
my -future- kids to start off reading].
i will pick up Fell this wed.. i always pass by
it on the shelves.. [among a lof other things]
