5 Christmas Mystery Novels
Merry Christmas everyone! I will be spending time with family tomorrow, but I leave you with five great Christmas mystery novels to read while sitting cozily by the fire after a long and tasty holiday dinner with family and friends.
1. Visions of Sugar Plums by Janet Evanovich. This special holiday novella in the Stephanie Plum series is just as hilarious and full of crazy antics as the regular novels. Mysterious villains, magical elves and men literally popping in and out of Stephanie’s apartment make this nutty mystery a must-read. If you enjoy this one, Evanovich has also written a Valentine’s Day novella and will soon be coming out with a St. Patrick’s Day novella in January.
2. Hercule Poirot’s Christmas by Agatha Christie. Hercule Poirot investigates a murder of a man that takes place on Christmas Eve after he announces that he is cutting off his sons’ allowances and changing his will to rid some of his family members from inheriting his estate.
3. Sugarplum Dead by Carolyn G. Hart. This 12th “Death on Demand” mystery from Carolyn G. Hart centers around Hart’s estranged father appearing during the Christmas season and then getting accused of murder.
4. Holiday in Death by J.D. Robb. A serial killer is on the loose during the holiday season in New York City, using “The Twelve Days of Christmas” as his theme, and Eve Dallas in on the scene. With Peabody, McNab and Roarke, she unravels the mystery surrounding these murders.
5. Murder is a Girl’s Best Friend by Amanda Matetsky. Paige Turner is a single woman working in New York City during the Christmas season of 1954. An old army buddy of her deceased husband appears to ask Paige for help in solving the murder of his little sister.
