Agent Nathan Bransford’s First Page Challenge
And yet another contest. I really feel like this month is shaping up to be Super Contest Month. However, this challenge seems very interesting so I must post about it!
Agent Nathan Bransford is running a first page contest on his blog. For any completed or work-in-progress novels, you may submit the first page of that work for up to 500 words. You submit in the comments section of the post so keep in mind that Nathan will not be the only person with the ability to view your work.
The winner receives a query critique, partial critique, 10 minute conversation with Nathan or one of his client’s novels. I would be most interested in the query critique or the partial critique to hear the thoughts of an actual agent in regards to my novel.
I am thinking of entering, but I have not decided yet. The contest is open until tomorrow (Wednesday) at 5pm Pacific. I have two partially written mysteries and one beginning of a fantasy. I’m not sure any of them are ready for something like this, but I may end up participating just for fun.

I chickened out on this one. Good luck if you do enter, Jen. I’ll be rooting for you. =oD
Thanks! I think I’m going to pass though because I’m not sure any of mine are ready for a contest. Plus, it appears there are already over 500 entries. Yikes!
You are braver than I am. If the submissions had been blind, I’d have entered, but not after seeing that other people are offering unwanted critiques!
@ Susan: Thanks, but…I ended up not entering. I’m not any braver than you are!
