NYC Comic Con, Sunday
Well, today was another fun day at the NYC Comic Con. I’m terribly sleepy, so this will just be a quick rundown of the day.
1. Sat in on a panel with Jason Dohring of Veronica Mars talking about Moonlight.
2. Met Holly Black and got a signed copy of Ironside. I forgot my copy of Tithe at home.
3. Got a copy of Anna Smudge, Professional Shrink, met the author and got my copy signed. It also has illustrations by Glenn Fabry, and he was there to sign my copy as well.
4. Got lots of free books: A James Patterson novel, a Sherrilyn Kenyon novel, a Peter F. Hamilton novel, a Chris Humphreys novel, a Dean Koontz novel and a Naomi Novik novel.
5. Plus, I bought a signed copy of Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. My TBR pile has gotten out of control.
6. Saw Steve Epting do a sketch.
7. Met the artist behind Marvel Zombies. I should have gotten something signed.
8. Generally, just wandered around and looked at all the booths and the costumes and the statues.
Overall, Comic Con was a blast. It was my first time going, and I’m already looking forward to next year. Maybe I’ll even wear my Hermione costume?

Hey, you didn’t get to meet Colleen did you? She was there with her boyfriend who was apparently signing autographs.
Colleen? The author Colleen Gleason or a different Colleen? I didn’t see Gleason there although I certainly don’t think I managed to see all the booths or find all the different signings going on at all times. It was nuts! But fun.
Nope- Colleen Katana: http://ckatana.blogspot.com/
We travel among many of the same blogs and tweets, so I thought you knew her. Check her out- funny and smart, and a writer, of course.
Cool! A new writerly blog for me to read!
You were at Comic Con and you have a Hermione costume? I think I love you.
It’s too bad you didn’t get to meet Jim Butcher…it was like actually meeting Harry Dresden. Pretty weird and cool all at the same time.
