My TBR Pile

I have to start out by saying that my TBR pile at home is reaching some amount over 50 novels. I keep buying and buying books all over the place, and I have enough to last me the rest of this year.

But, right now, I have a short-term TBR pile of books on my coffee table that I plan on reading in the next month or so. I thought it’d be fun to share what was in my stack.

magiclost_cover_fullsize.jpg 1. Magic Lost, Trouble Found by Lisa Shearin. This is what I’m reading right now, and I’m loving it! A fun fantasy about Elves and sorcerers. My kind of read. :)

2. The Soulstealer War by W.L. Hoffman. This one I found at Comic Con when I met the author and got a signed copy. I meant to read it sooner, but I got distracted.

3. Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card. I should have read this a long time ago, and I’m finally getting around to it.

vampireacademy.jpg 4. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. I’m always a fan of vampires.

5. Stray by Rachel Vincent. Werecats!

I don’t know if you notice the trend here, but I’ve been really getting into fantasy lately. Whether it be traditional, light-hearted, YA or urban. I’m loving it all.

On this note, I’m also finally going to announce the winner of Succubus in the City by Nina Harper! Congrats to sir jorge!

Read any good books lately? Cause you know I need more to add to my ever-growing pile.

  1. I know the feeling with the TBR pile! I was determined to not buy any more books (unless I knew the author or suspected it would go out of print soon) until I’d reduced my TBR down to one or two. That didn’t last! I think I got down to 9 plus classics before going on my next book buying binge.

And that doesn’t count books that I want to re-read!

  2. I’m so glad you’re enjoying Magic Lost, Trouble Found! When you’re finished, pop me an email and let me know how you liked it. ; )

  3. Looks like you’ve got some fun reading ahead of you. The Card and Vincent books I’ve already read, but I’ve got your others on my wish list. My TBR pile is always huge, and I keep adding to it. New releases kill me. Yesteday I made the mistake of wandering through the book aisle at the grocery store… Two new books. Ack. ;o)

  4. @ wordvixen - I’ve been meaning to reread LOTR for at least a year now. I try to read it every couple of years. *Sigh* At this rate, I’ll never get back to it.

  5. *lol* Would you believe that I’ve never read it? I finally read The Hobbit last year. I do plan to get to LOTR some time soon… Riiiight.

Well, I plan to get to it. :)
