The Perfect Writing Space
Well, the big move is complete. That is, I’m in the apartment with all my belongings. But all those belongings are in boxes and are scattered around in large piles that are hard to maneuver. But there’s something really great about all of this. I have so much more space, and I’ll be able to carve out a section of the apartment that will make a nice workspace/writing spot.
In my old apartment, I was cramped. My desk was on top of my couch was on top of my bed was on top of my kitchen table. The new place is nice and airy. There’s plenty of room. So, I’m making a writing corner.
My writing corner will consist of:
1. My desk, of course. Hopefully with a new hutch.
2. My laptop.
3. A bookshelf with my favorite novels and my books on writing.
4. A small filing cabinet for documents and manuscripts.
5. A shelf full of fun inspirational toys, collectibles and trinkets.
6. Speakers.
7. A great painting or picture. I haven’t decided which one to go here.
8. A large calendar.
What are your writing corner essentials?

Mostly the same as yours - No calendar other then on my Mac. Picture of my wife and son. Lots of sticky notes
Good luck with the new space - having any space at all is always nice
Pencil stub. Paper scrap.
A computer is really handy, however, for translating what I write into a format that everyone can read. But doesn’t. And probably shouldn’t.
I really should invest in a filing cabinet though. In case the “scatter on the floor” method starts to break down.
